Guides des sources des Grands Travaux Culturels

Website: https://gtc.hypotheses.org/3381

Presentation: This source guide, made with the platform Hypotheses, is an inventory of all the archives and documents produced in the establishment of the Grands Travaux culturels, a project involving few French presidents, such as François Mitterand, Georges Pompidou and Jacques Chirac. It is categorized by grand projet and it gives, for each, the producers, places of conservation and fonds, as well the actors involved in the projet, a bibliography and a chronology.

Contribution: I was involved in the project for several months: I helped redesign some pages of the source guide, I added new information and did some corrections to other pages. I added new archive references to the first batch of grand project (already done when I arrived) and I completely managed the creation of the pages of the second batch of grands projects, from the MuCEM to the Pont du Gard.

DiScholEd: Digital Scholarly Editions

Website: https://discholed.huma-num.fr/exist/apps/discholed/index.html

Presentation: This platform, made with the help of TEI Publisher, is a website made for hosting digital scholarly editions, encoded following the guidelines of the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI). It is made, primarily, for correspondences and other ego documents (such as diaries or personal testimonies), but it can host other types of corpora, following a request to the moderator of the website. For each corpus, the user have access to the files in the corpus, as well as indexes links to its named entities. It is also possible to have, if it was provided, information about the history of the corpus and of the project.

Contribution: I created from scratch this platform, then was helped by an intern in 2021. We adapted the templates, the ODD and the CSS to what we wanted for this application. I wrote the documentation provided on the platform and I completly (d'Estournelles) or partly (Berlin Intellectuals; EHRI testimonies) encoded some corpus present in the website.

Pipeline for digital scholarly editions

Website: https://github.com/DiScholEd/pipeline-digital-scholarly-editions

Presentation: Created as part of the DAHN project (Dispositif de soutien à l’Archivistique et aux Humanités Numériques), the goal of this pipeline is to help any person with a corpus of digitized archives to transform it as quickly and as easy as possible until publication. It is made of links to tools, transformation scripts, diagrams, documentation and was the subject of several talks during its development.

Contribution: This pipeline was the main goal of my hiring at Inria as an engineer. Therefore, I wrote myself the scripts and documentation of the pipeline, as well as most of the talks, helped sometimes by colleagues or supervisors.

eScriptorium documentation

Website: https://escriptorium.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Presentation: This platform aims at presenting a precise, detailed and up-to-date documentation on the eScriptorium application. In addition to a general introduction, a terminology page and a FAQ, this documentation presents a walkthrough to do transcription on eScriptorium.

Contribution: This work was done jointly with Alix Chagué and Hugo Scheithauer in the ALMAnaCH team at Inria.
